Born in the region of Veneto, Roberto Cipresso engaged, at first, in the study of agricultural techniques. The moment he moved to Tuscany was when he in fact started a victorious career of winemaking in Montalcino, working with the most important wine producers in the region. In 1999 he founded the Winemaking, an agronomist and oenological consulting society that assisted vineyards in Italy and abroad. His knowledge of the land and its secrets lead him to initiating Winecircus, an experimental lab cellar dedicated to researches about wine activity jointly with the Universities of Padova, Trento, Pisa and Udine.
Amongst his main creations there are the Cuvée made especially to the Pope John Paul II in 2000 and the red wine developed for the 150 th anniversary of the Unification of Italy in 2010. Cipresso has been elected the “Best Italian Oenologist” during the “Wine Oscar 2006” and “Man of the Year” by Men’s Health in 2008. His Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2006 La Fiorita was listed as one of the best Italian wines at the “Best Italian Wines Awards 2012” and has received a golden medal at the “Merano Wine Festival 2012”. In the same year was release the first result of the grand alliance of Galvão and Cipresso: Bueno La Valletta. This partnership worked so well that the both of them released the Bueno-Cipresso Brunello di Montalcino, a complex and elegant wine that has a composition refined with the precise terroir of the Tuscan region.
